RIVERSIDE, CA. (THECOUNT) — A judge is set to sentence David and Louise Turpin, the Perris couple arrested in January 2018 for torturing most of their 13 captive children, in a Riverside County courtroom on Friday.
Whether the victims will make impact statements at the hearing is unclear.
The arrest came after one of the couple’s daughters, 17-year-old Jordan Turpin, escaped from the family’s home and used her brother’s deactivated cellphone to call 911. A recording of that desperate 20-minute phone call was obtained by ABC News.
Jordan is heard telling the dispatcher that her parents are “abusive,” adding that her two younger sisters are “chained up to their bed.”

Well, I am sure by now that they have settled into their jailhouse lifestyle, therefore any amount of jail time handed to them will not matter now. It's mainly all about chow time, mail call, commissary, count time and lights out. They won't be hurting any children any more. I don't even know why they bothered to get dressed for court. Bye Bye Bitches.
One of the kids in a victim statement read in court said going through the ordeal made them stronger - let's just hope that's the case for all of those kids going forward. During the sentencing they gave parents option to appear or not at possible future restitution hearing, dad said pasadena but mom said she wanted to be there. I found that interesting.
