CANONSBURG, PA. (THECOUNT) — Amanda Towns, of Morgantown, West Virginia, has been identified as the victim in a fatal wrong-way Interstate 79 crash in Washington County, Pennsylvania Saturday morning.
Towns, 25, was operating a vehicle traveling the wrong-way on I-79 in Washington County, when she collided with an SUV before 3 a.m. early Saturday morning, say officials.
Towns was pronounced dead as a result of the violent crash.
The driver of the SUV suffered unknown injuries, according to WXPI. His current condition was not provided.
Pennsylvania State Police say the investigation is ongoing.
