GLENDALE, AZ. (THECOUNT) — Cesar Cervantes and Jacob Gonzales have been identified as the Glendale, Arizona victims killed in following a single-vehicle crash Wednesday.
Cervantes, 31, was operating a vehicle Grand Avenue, just south of Northern Avenue, in Glendale, when for unknown reasons, crossed centerlines, exited the roadway and crashed into a traffic pole.
Cervantes was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead of multiple blunt force trauma, injuries as was his passenger, 33-year-old Gonzales.
Investigators are piecing together the moments leading up to the crash. Sgt. John Roth of the Glendale Police Department said he hoped to have more information about what caused the wreck Wednesday, reported AZFamily.
“Damage to pole is significant and repairs are being addressed,” Roth added.

The investigation is ongoing.
