Kelowna BC Yoga Community Rocked After Sudden Death Of ‘MOGA Moms’ Owner Tessa Hutton

KELOWNA, BC. (THECOUNT) — Tessa Hutton, a popular internet and local Oranj Fitness Kelowna yoga instructor, has sadly passed away in West Kelowna.

The beloved Kelowna woman, and owner of MOGA Yoga, located at, 1765 Harvey Ave, in Kelowna, BC, Canada, died after being rushed to the hospital and placed in ICU.

A cause of death was not provided.

Oranj Fitness Kelowna released the following statement on Facebook:

“We received devastating news earlier this week that one of our newly hired yoga instructors & MOGA instructors, Tessa Hutton, was in the ICU. We all hoped for a miracle.

Last night, this radiant soul, mother, sister, daughter, friend and fellow yogi passed. Her light and warmth in this world will be missed. We know her passing will have ripple effects in our community of Kelowna. Hold your loved ones close today, tell people you care about how important they are to you. Tessa was all about unconditional love; so spread the love in all the ways you can, it’s what Tessa would want us all to do”

Hutton was a pre and post-natal yoga instructor, and taught classes around the community. Hutton leaves behind a young daughter, Isla, reported KelownaNow.

A GoFundMe has been erected aimed at helping alleviate some financial burden for family members.

“Tessa was a huge part in the community as a pre and post-natal yoga teacher, along with teaching classes around town. Many of us have been blessed to have Tessa be part of our journey. If you know Tessa, you know her transition to motherhood was the most powerful and amazing experience. She found her truth in Isla-Faye. Her daughter was – and still is – her world. Tessa’s main priority was providing her daughter a beautiful life everyday.

I’m hoping to alleviate some of the financial burden of losing someone for the Hutton family. All proceeds will go directly to Heidi and Isla. Isla is surrounded by her love and is being well taken care of.”

As of Saturday, the GoFundMe had reached $10,275 of its $15,000 goal.

The MOGA Moms groups said that “There are many teachers in the world, but Tessa was a special one.”

MOGA Yoga said that Hutton’s classes will be taught by MOGA trained instructors, and she wouldn’t want it any other way than for them to continue to support moms and their babies, reports KelownaNow.
