DINWIDDIE COUNTY, VA. (THECOUNT) — Shawn M. Parrish, of McKenney, VA, has been identified as the victim in a two-vehicle crash along U.S. 1 in Dinwiddie County on Valentine’s Day.
Virginia State Police troopers say they were called to the scene of a crash at the intersection of Route 1 and Route 460 just after 6:30 p.m., Thursday.
Parrish, 37, was operating a motorcycle along Route 1 when he struck a minivan attempting to perform a left hand turn onto Route 460.
The vehicle was driven by 18-year-old Ojeda M. Martinez, of North Dinwiddie.
Parrish transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead of multiple blunt force injuries.
Officials said Martinez, who was wearing her seat belt, was not hurt.
Official said charges may be filed in the crash, reports WTVR.
The crash remains under investigation.
