CASS COUNTY, NE. (THECOUNT) — Douglas, 62, and Donna Erhart, 67, both of Murdock, Nebraska, have been identified as the couple killed in a Sunday morning crash in Liberty, Nebraska.
The couple was traveling in a vehicle on US-75, when they lost control and crossed centerlines, officials said.
The couple then collided with a vehicle driven by Karla Manzel on Sunday around 10:30 a.m. just north of Highway 1.
Manzel and a female passenger, identified as Elizabeth Schroeder, were taken to UNMC with non life-threatening injuries, according to KLKNTV.
Douglas and Donna Erhart were pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries suffered in the crash.
A crash reports noted that seat belts were in use at the time of the accident, and that road conditions are believed to be the primary factor in the accident.
