LAKE CHARLES, LA. (THECOUNT) — Oran Henderson, of Lake Charles, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday Lake Charles shooting. Shawon Washington, 35, of Lake Charles, was later taken into custody and accused of being involved in the shooting.
Washington is listed as Henderson’s wife, according to social media postings.
“Pollyman” Henderson, 63, was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound after Lake Charles Police responded to calls of shots fired at an apartment complex on the 2300 block of Power Center Parkway on Saturday.
Washington was arrested for manslaughter. Her bond is set at $125,000, says LCPD, reports 1011NOW.
Henderson was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
Investigators say they believe the shooting may be as a result of a domestic dispute.
The investigation is ongoing.
No motive or further information on the shooting was released by officials.
