ATLANTA, GA. (THECOUNT) — Atlanta fire says manholes covers are “blowing off” along Peachtree Street in midtown Atlanta.
The incident happened on Peachtree Street between North Avenue and Linden Avenue. Viewers said they heard loud booms and then saw smoke, reports KPTV.
Authorities are working to close the area to traffic.
Authorities said they’re working to check for injuries and to see if there was any damage caused. Atlanta fire said it is investigating the cause.
