BRANSON, MO. (THECOUNT) — Missouri Highway Patrol trooper, Greg Curnes, and his wife, Laura Curnes, have been identified as the victims in a fatal pedestrian crash in Branson Landing on Saturday.
The couple along with a third individual, identified as, Jani L. Moncrief, were struck while on-foot on Main Street and Branson Landing Boulevard Saturday evening around 8 p.m.
Moncrief and Greg suffered unknown injuries in the crash and were transported to an area hospital.
Laura was also transported to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
Police say all were hit in the crosswalk, reports KY3.
Police named the driver as Steven C. Weter of Hollister, Missouri.
Police say he remained at the scene and cooperated with officials.
It is unknown if anyone was cited in the fatal incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
