MOBILE COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Tabatha Smith, of Lucedale, Mississippi has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday evening single-vehicle crash.
Smith, 40, was operating a vehicle on State Line Road, Mobile, Alabama, near the Mississippi border when the fatal crash occurred after 6 p.m. Saturday.
A 2013 Nissan Altima was traveling on State Line Road near Tanner Williams Road, in Mobile, when for unknown reasons, it crossed centerlines and exited the roadway striking a tree.
Smith was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
A crash report noted the victim was not wearing a safety harness at the time of the violent crash.
Nothing further was provided as troopers continue to investigate.
