GREENSBORO, NC. (THECOUNT) — Ahmed Sinada, of Greensboro, NC, has been identified as the suspect arrested after his passenger, Cameron A. May, also of Greensboro, died in a wreck Tuesday night, according to police.
Sinada, 18, was taken in custody and charged with felony hit and run and misdemeanor death by vehicle following a crash that killed 22-year-old May.
Police responded to reports of a crash around 11:30 p.m., Tuesday in the area of Oakland Avenue and Chapman Court. Upon arrival, first responders found a 2016 Mercedes flipped over in a parking lot.
May, a passenger in the vehicle, was found deceased inside.
Sinada, the driver, fled the scene but was located a short time later and taken in custody.
Sinada was arrested and charged with felony hit and run and misdemeanor death by vehicle. source
Sinada was transported to the Guilford County Jail and is being held under a $100,000 bond.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
