EAST HAVEN, CT (THECOUNT) — Rafael Arroyo Rivera, of New Haven, has been identified as the pedestrian struck and killed by an 18-wheeler Tuesday night on Interstate 95 in West Haven, Connecticut.
Rivera, 34, was named by State Police as the man killed in a hit-and-run crash on I-95 southbound in East Haven on Tuesday evening.
Authorities say, Rivera was attempting to cross I-95 with another person, when he was struck by a Semi-tractor near Exit 51 around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The Semi-truck did not stop and fled the scene.

The tractor trailer cab is described as white and has brown lettering on it. It may have front end damage.
