JACKSONVILLE, FL. (THECOUNT) — Symere Woolbright, 5, and Rickale Woolbright, 10, have been identified as the victims killed in a tragic Saturday morning Jacksonville, FL, crash that also seriously injured four others.
The two children were killed in the early morning I-295 crash that occurred in Northwest Jacksonville on Saturday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP says, a Chevrolet Impala was traveling south on Interstate 295 approaching Commonwealth Avenue when it came into contact with a Chevrolet Tahoe, violently striking the rear of the Impala causing both cars to barrel into the center median.
Both Symere Woolbright and Rickale Woolbright, who were inside the Impala, were pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the crash.
Kenmari Woolbright, 8, and Jamearion Johnson, 15, who were also in that car, were seriously injured and were taken to local hospitals. The driver of the Impala, Kenyota Johnson, suffered minor injuries but is expected to be OK. source
The driver of the Chevy, Jotham Patrick, 43, was also seriously injured and was taken to a hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
