SAN DIEGO, TX. (THECOUNT) — Leandro Chapa, of San Diego, TX, has been identified as the victim killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash Saturday night.
Chapa, 31, was traveling on a newer model Harley Davidson motorcycle west on Commerce Road, in Alice, TX, when he misjudged a curve and exited the roadway. The bike came to a rest in the grassy area on the south side of the road, according to authorities.
A passerby observed the accident scene and called 911.
Chapa was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the wreck.
It is unknown if alcohol or speed were factors in the fatal crash. Police have ordered a toxicology test.
