OH Man Kyle Lee ID’d As Driver In Monday Silverton Fatal Crash

DEER PARK, OHIO (THECOUNT) — Kyle Lee, a Cincinnati Public Schools staff member and security assistant at Pleasant Ridge Montessori, has been identified as the victim in a fatal single-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Hamilton County, according to officials.

The fatal collision occurred shortly after 12:45 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Plainfield Road and Deer Park Avenue in the Silverton-Deer Park area northeast of downtown Cincinnati.

According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Lee was operating a Chevrolet Equinox traveling northbound on Plainfield Road when the SUV veered off the roadway.

Authorities said the vehicle subsequently struck a tree near the roadway.

Lee sustained fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene, investigators confirmed.

No additional vehicles were reported involved in the crash.

The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office later identified Lee as the victim killed in the collision.

Officials have not publicly released Lee’s age.

Cincinnati Public Schools confirmed Lee was employed as a security assistant at Pleasant Ridge Montessori.

The school district issued a statement following confirmation of Lee’s death.

“Students and staff deeply loved Mr. Lee, and our condolences go out to his family, loved ones, colleagues and the Pleasant Ridge community,” Cincinnati Public Schools said.

Pleasant Ridge Montessori is part of the Cincinnati Public Schools district and serves students in the Cincinnati metropolitan area.

The crash occurred near the intersection of Plainfield Road and Deer Park Avenue, a traveled corridor through portions of Hamilton County connecting Deer Park, Silverton, and surrounding Cincinnati-area communities.

Emergency responders remained at the scene Monday afternoon while investigators documented evidence, examined the damaged Chevrolet Equinox, and coordinated roadway operations in the area.

Traffic near the crash site was impacted during the on-scene investigation.

Authorities have not publicly released additional details regarding the circumstances that caused the SUV to leave the roadway.

Investigators also have not announced whether a medical emergency, speed, impairment, or roadway conditions may have contributed to the crash.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the fatal collision.

No additional information was immediately released.
