WEST MONROE, LA. (THECOUNT) — Keep finding unwanted methamphetamines in your home? You might need to call Ghostbusters before you get a visit from the West Monroe Police Department.
Michael Auttonberry, of West Monroe, La., had a ghoul of a seasonal excuse for how drugs ended up inside his home, you guessed it, it was dead people. And he says he saw the ghost that commited the crime. Did we mention the ghost hit him in the head with an imaginary axe? Alrighty then.
Police in West Monroe, La. responded to the home of Michael Auttonberry this week after he claimed in a 911 call that he had been stabbed in the head by an axe. When police arrived, they found Auttonberry, 59, had not been stabbed and there was no one else inside the home, say reports.
Upon arrival to Auttonberry’s home on reports of an axe attack, police found Auttonberry, 59, with no obvious signs of lacerations. What police did observe, was a brown bag containing 1 gram of methamphetamine in plain view on his bedroom night stand.
Auttonberry then claimed an axe wielding ghost had assaulted him and planted meth in his residence and on his person. He was also found to personally possessed another gram of meth.
The “victim” turned “suspect,” was uninjured during the harrowing binge.
Auttonberry was arrested and charged with felony narcotics possession and a criminal mischief count. And just in time for Halloween!
