SHREVEPORT, LA. (THECOUNT) — Demetrius Davis, of Shreveport, LA, has been identified as the victim found suffering from at least one gunshot wound Monday in west Shreveport, says the Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office.
Davis, 26, of Shreveport was shot and killed outside a home in the 4200 block of Madera Drive, Caddo records show.
Authorities believe Davis and another man were involved in an altercation when gunfire erupted Monday afternoon around 5pm.
Police say both men were involved in a fistfight in a front yard when one pulled out a handgun and shot Davis multiple times then took off running, police Cpl. Marcus Hines said. source
Davis was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot injuries.
Authorities say they have a positive identification on the alleged shooter and are obtaining a warrant for his arrest.
