CHATTANOOGA, TN. (THECOUNT) — Teuntè Rice, from East Ridge, Tennessee, has been identified as the teen who died after being shot in the 2000 block of Windsor Street, in Chattanooga, TN, Friday Night.
Chattanooga police are investigating the shooting of Rice, 18, as a homicide.
Officers responded to a a call of “shots fired” around 10:30 p.m. Friday. Upon arrival, police discovered Rice suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
He was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot wounds.
The victim, Te’unte Rice, 18, was taken to an area hospital by a personal vehicle, CPD said. Rice died from his injuries. source
Members of the Major Crimes Bureau say the investigation is ongoing.
Suspect description nor a motive has been released in the fatal shooting.
