HORRY COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Windy Newton, 45, of Shallotte, N.C., and Nicolette Green, 43, of Myrtle Beach, have been identified as the mental health patients in South Carolina killed after being inside a transport van that became flooded.
The patients were being taken from Loris Hospital and Waccamaw Mental Health Hospital to McLeod, according to WPDE.
It happened in Horry County on Highway 917 Tuesday night as the van was in still water on Pee Dee Island Road near the bridge. source
