LAGUNA BEACH, CA. (THECOUNT) — Sheena Monk was said to be “going so fast” when she crashed a Lamborghini Super Trofeo went airborne and crashed down to earth on all 4 wheels.
The race ended up being red flagged so the safety crews could extract Monk from the mangled Lamborghini. IMSA reported that Monk is conscious and breathing and was transported to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in stable condition.
Sheena Monk is currently in stable condition after a brutal crash in this Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America race at Laguna Seca. Her Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo lost it’s brakes and it went straight into the wall at the top part of the famous Laguna Seca Corkscrew. She only had 6 minutes complete of the nearly one hour race. source
