TISHOMINGO, OK. (THECOUNT) — Samuel Ritchie, a well known Oklahoma business owner, was arrested and is now facing a charge of lewd acts with a child.
Ritchie, 59, who owns the Boomarang Diner in downtown Tishomingo, was taken in custody in what investigators say was an undercover child exploitation sting.
Canadian County deputies arrested Ritchie on Wednesday night.
Investigators used a social media app called KiK, which is popular with kids, to do an undercover investigation into child exploitation. Posing as a 14-year-old girl, investigators said they created a online relationship with Ritchie. They used the connection to set up a meeting place in Mustang, Oklahoma, where Ritchie was arrested. source
Investigators said Ritchie admitted to sending inappropriate pictures to the person posing as that 14-year-old victim.
Samuel Ritchie’s wife told local reporters that he is understandably upset, adding that her husband no longer has anything to do with the Boomarang Diner.
