JACKSONVILLE, FL. (THECOUNT) — Annie Ruth Miller and Deborah Sharon Ziegler, have been identified as the women found shot dead late Wednesday on a Northwest city street, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Miller, 35, and Ziegler, 58, were found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds after officers were called to the 2100 block of Placeda Street, Jacksonville, FL, about 9:20 a.m. following reports of shots fired.
Police located one woman dead in the street about one block north of West Jacksonville Elementary School. A second woman was found dead inside a nearby vehicle. source
Both women suffered apparent gunshot wounds, police said.
Ruth lived nearby, according to court records.
Ziegler’s daughter told local press that she does not believe her mother had anything to do with whoever was responsible for the shooting, saying she “was at the wrong place at the wrong time.”
Police did not indicate if they believe the shootings are related.
