FORT HANCOCK, TX. (THECOUNT) — Jason Everett Hitt Jr. of Roanoke, and David Adam McKenzie of El Paso, have been identified as the victims in a Thursday crash on I-10, involving a semi-truck near Fort Hancock on Thursday.
Hill, 23, and, McKenzie, 34, were reportedly traveling in the wrong direction in a passenger vehicle when they struck a semi-truck head-on around 2:20 a.m.
Troopers said a 2006 Pontiac vehicle with 23-year-old driver collided head-on with a semi-truck being driven by another El Pasoan. source
Both Hitt and McKenzie were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck, who was not identified, was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Anyone with information on the crash may call police at 911.
