NEW YORK, NY. (THECOUNT) — The New York Police Department identified, Rashaun Pope, as the 21-year-old Bronx man fatally shot on Manhattan’s Upper West Side early Sunday morning.
The NYPD says officers responded around 1:30 a.m. Sunday to a 911 call reporting a man arriving at St. Luke’s Hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest. The shooting reportedly occurred near West 125th Street & 12th Avenue, in Harlem.
The NYPD says the man was brought to the hospital in a private vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
He has been identified as Rashaun Pope, who lived on College Avenue in the Bronx.
