BELFRY, KY. (THECOUNT) — Kentucky woman, Robin Gail Porter, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck by a crashing vehicle Wednesday in Belfry, Ky.

Porter, 60, a retired teacher and youth sports coach, died of injuries she sustained after being struck by a vehicle that exited the roadway for an unknown reason.

According to reports, a vehicle was traveling on U.S. 119 around 10 a.m. when it crashed into a light pole, flipped on its side and slid into Porter, killing her on impact.

Porter was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Williamson Daily News reports Porter was a coach of various sports over the past few decades. She coached at the former Williamson Middle School and High School. Porter taught at Williamson Pre K-8 before retiring in recent years. Porter was an occasional substitute teacher, the newspaper reported. source
