ADGER, AL. (THECOUNT) — Jonathan Andrew Carroll, of Adger, has been identified as the victim shot and killed in Jefferson County following an altercation Sunday morning.
Carroll, 29, was named by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office as the man fatally shot in the community of Adger on Sunday.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Adger was found dead in the 4000 block if Valley Ford Road in Adger, Jefferson County, AL, after a man contacted 911 to reported he had gotten into an altercation with Carroll and shot him.
The caller later led officers to Carroll’s body. according to the coroner’s office.
The altercation occurred about a mile off the main road near a gas well, according to the sheriff’s office. The closest intersection is Johns Road and Valley Ford Road. source
A motive for the deadly shooting was not provided. No arrests have been made yet. No other details have been released by the sheriff’s office.
