Sandy Hook Man Daniel J. Thiel Identified As Victim In Lewisboro Motorcycle Crash

LEWISBORO, NY. (THECOUNT) — Sandy Hook, CT., man, Daniel J. Thiel, has been identified as the victim in a fatal 2-vehicle accident in Northern Westchester Friday afternoon.

Thiel, 38, was operating a 2014 BMW motorcycle on Chapel Rd and N Salem Rd in Lewisboro, NY., when he collied with an SUV.

Thiel was thrown from the motorcycle during the crash and suffered blunt force trauma.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

At approximately 2:15 p.m., Daniel J. Thiel of Sandy Hook, CT, was operating the motorcycle on Route 121 in Lewisboro when he struck another vehicle, a 2014 Acura MDX, at the intersection of Route 138, state police from the Somers barrack said. source
