LAKE O’ THE PINES, TX (THECOUNT) — The body of Marshall, TX., man, Sam Lento, reported missing Wednesday, has been located in the area of Lake O’ the Pines Thursday, according to Texas Parks and Wildlife officials.
Sammy Lynn Lento, 60, was found around 7:45 a.m. Thursday during a search for the missing Marshall man in the area of TX-155 and Lake O’ the Pines in Ore City, TX.
According to authorities, on Wednesday afternoon citizens found an unoccupied boat adrift on Lake O’ The Pines near the area of the Highway 155 bridge. When authorities responded they found that the boat was owned by Mr. Lento. source
After inspecting the vessel, authorities said it appeared Lento may have exited the boat in an attempt to fix a malfunctioning motor.
He was later pronounced dead.
According to Facebook, Lento was the owner at Pony Express Truck Service Center. He was originally from Antlers, Oklahoma, according to Facebook.
