Christopher Snyder, the suspect in a shooting that left three people dead Monday in a Montgomery County neighborhood, has died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot, according to officials.
Snyder, 41, shot himself dead after a SWAT team gained entry into the home. He was barricaded in the 22000 block of Brown Farm Way in Brookeville, say the Montgomery County police.
Montgomery County Police Chief Thomas Manger said Snyder shot and killed three adults after his wife told police he had been holding her hostage over the weekend. She had escape their home to a neighbor’s house where the shooting took place. Three other adults, including Snyder’s wife, were able to escape alive. source
Residents in the area were urged to shelter in place and to call 911 if they see anything suspicious following the shooting.
