Hendersonville man, Christopher Lindroth, has been identified as the victim who died following a boating crash on Old Hickory Lake on Monday night.
Teryl Crowder, 63, was operating a bass boat when he collied with 58-year-old Lindroth, the driver of a personal watercraft. After the crash, Crowder pulled Lindroth into his boat to transport him to the Bluegrass Marina.
The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency said a personal watercraft and a bass boat collided head-on near the Bluegrass Marina. Officials said both watercraft tried to move out of each other’s way, but they turned the same direction and collided. source
Emergency responders administered CPR to Lindroth, who was wearing a life jacket. He later died from his critical injuries.
Alcohol does not appear to have played a role in the crash, and officials impounded both watercraft to continue investigating.
