Johnny Ray “NUKE” Izard Jr. ID’d As Lincolnton NC First Homicide Since 2014

Johnny Ray Izard Jr., has been named by Lincoln County NC., law enforcement officials as the man found shot dead on New Bold Street. Izard marks the county’s first homicide since 2014.

Officials say they arrived to the scene after receiving reports of shots fired before midnight. Once on-scene, police located Izard, aka, “NUKE,” of Lincolnton, lying on the ground with a fatal gunshot wound.

Izard was transported to CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gaston County where he was later pronounced dead, according to Lincolnton police. source

Officials are currently investigating.
