Andra Watson ID’d As Lynchburg VA Man Killed After Shot In Head, Female Also Shot In Head

Lynchburg Police have identified Andra Watson, 33, of Lynchburg, VA, as the man found shot in the head early Saturday morning.

Police say they are investigating the fatal shooting after responding to a call of “shots fired” early Saturday morning around 2:30. While on the scene police located Watson lying in a pool of blood in the street. An unnamed woman was also shot in the head in the incident. She was transported via LifeFlight to an area hospital. Her condition is unknown.

Officers were called to the 1100 block of 18th Street where they found a man with a gunshot wound to the head. Police say he was lying in the middle of the roadway. Life-saving efforts were attempted, but he died on scene. source

While Watson was being treated, police say a separate victim was taken to the Lynchburg General Hospital with a gunshot wound to the head from the same shots fired incident.

Police are calling the incident a homicide investigation.
