A Texas mom is apologizing and says she had no idea she sent her son to school in an obscene t-shirt last week.
“I promise from now on to monitor what my kids are wearing!” mom Shelly McCullar wrote on Facebook. “I had no idea Anthony wore this to school!”
McCullar apologized to teachers and staff at Travis Elementary School.
According to the post, McCullar received a box of hand-me-down clothes from a friend but she had yet to go through the bins to see what exactly was inside.
In a video that accompanied the post, her son Anthony says he thought it was “like McDonald’s” and went to school.
“Just to clarify, I would never let my kid wear something like this,” McCullar said. “A friend had given me some hand me down clothes for Anthony. I haven’t had the chance to completely go through them. I will tonight though!” she added. source
In the video, she asks Anthony if any teachers stopped him, and Anthony replies that “they thought it was like McDonald’s too.”
