Hanane Mouhib, of Brockport, has been named as the woman charged with murdering a young boy in a Sweden, NY, home on Thursday evening.
Mouhib, 36, is charged with second-degree murder in the decapitation death of 7-year-old Abraham E. Cardenas, according to court papers.
She was arraigned in Sweden Town Court Friday morning and is being held in the Monroe County Jail without bail.
Investigators said that Mouhib used a large-bladed kitchen knife to stab the victim in the upper left area of the back, causing the victim’s head to become severed from his body. source

Deputies were called to 5499 S. Lake Road (Route 19) in Sweden at 8:19 p.m. Thursday for the report of a “suicidal female armed with a knife” inside the home, according to a news release. There, deputies found an “adolescent male deceased” on the first floor of the home, police said. The boy, who appeared to be 10 years old or younger, had “trauma” to his body.
Police said there was no sign of a fight or altercation.
Five people, including other children, were inside the home when the boy was killed, deputies said. The others in the home were interviewed at the scene.
It was not initially clear how Mouhib was related to the victim.
