The school shooter has been identified as 17-year-old student, Austin Wyatt Rollins. St. Mary’s County sheriff said at a news conference Tuesday afternoon that the school resource officer, Special Agent Blaine Gaskell, who is a member of SWAT, spotted the gunman in the hallway at Great Mills High School and fired a single fatal shot. Almost simultaneously, Rollins fired back, investigators said.
