Austin police are at the scene of a reported deadly explosion in Central East Austin Monday morning in the possible second deadly explosion in the area.
Another fatal explosion occurred at a home in Northeast Austin on March 2. Police said they are investigating that case as a suspicious death.
Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services said they received the call for the incident at a single-family home in the 4800 block of Oldfort Hill Drive just before 6:45 a.m.
A teenage boy was declared deceased at the scene, while a woman in her 40s was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with serious and potentially life-threatening injuries. No other people were injured, according to ATCEMS.
Austin fire is assisting with the investigation.
