The New Orleans Police Department has identified Nicholas Heard as the suspect in connection with a threat made against University of New Orleans.
The New Orleans Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for Heard who is wanted on a terrorizing charge.
Heard is accused of making direct threats to fellow students attending UNO and said that he would shoot several people on campus, according to NOPD.
Officials add that they do not want to risk the safety of the members of the school community, prompting the closure. They add that employees should not report to work until police determine that it is safe and students who live on campus should stay in their rooms. All entrances and exits on campus will be guarded by police. source
