TheCount.com has obtained a photo of the Florida man killed along with a teen at “The Club” located in Tampa, Florida.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said security guards at the underage hotspot opened fire killing two people late Monday night. One of the dead is Jyhaad Grant, aka, WayneBloc RedZone. He was 25.
A spokesperson with the sheriff’s office said the other victim was 15-year-old Julissa Jackson.
The victims were inside a vehicle around 11:30 p.m. Monday outside of a facility known as “The Club” on North 50th Street near East Idlewild Avenue, when the deadly incident occurred.
Grant and Jackson are both from Tampa, say reports.
The facility held a teen night event on North 50th Street set for 8 p.m. to midnight. However, organizers at “The Club” decided to close around 10:45 p.m. because of fighting inside the club, according to the sheriff’s office. The sheriff’s office said the facility is rented out for certain events. There were about 150-200 kids there when the shooting broke out, according to the sheriff’s office. One of the two security guards at the club saw a person firing a gun from inside the car, according to the sheriff’s office. Both security guards then fired their guns at the car.
WayneBloc RedZone was known for traveling around the area with his Chucky doll.
Friends and family took to social media to remember Grant.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends at this difficult time.
