Teen Mom Forced Rock Down Newborn’s Throat Claims Unaware Pregnant

Alaya Dotson has been named as the teen mother accused of killing her newborn by forcing a rock down the baby’s throat, according to reports.

Police said the 16-year-old mother claimed she didn’t know she was pregnant until she gave birth. According to the Denver Police dispatch, they received an emergency 911 call from a woman claiming that her daughter had given birth to the infant and that the baby was on the ground in the backyard and “looked dead”.

After the delivery, she took the newborn to the backyard of a home. She told the police she put a rock in the baby’s mouth and forced it down the throat of the child. source

Police found the baby behind the home, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Dotson is facing first-degree murder charges and is being tried as an adult.
