The body found in the Tunica Lake has been identified as a missing choir director, Lynn Bauman, from Memphis.
66-year-old Bauman went missing after a boating trip on the lake on October 26. He had not been seen since that day.
On October 27, his boat and some personal items were found. And on November 2, a body was found about three quarters of a mile from Bauman’s last known location. Today, the body was confirmed to be that of Walter Bauman. A preliminary investigation revealed his death was accidental, but no further information about the circumstances was available, according to the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office. source
Bauman was the director of the choir and played the organ at Immaculate Conception Cathedral.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends at this difficult time.
