A cause of death was not immediately released.

Henneberry was hailed as a hero on April 19, 2013, after he discovered Tsarnaev curled up inside his 24-foot boat in his backyard. source

In an interview with the Globe he explained what led to the discovery. The vessel, which he called the Slip Away II, was shrink-wrapped, and Henneberry had no idea anyone was inside. The only reason why he took a closer look was because he noticed that some padding he used to protect the hull had fallen to the ground.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends at this difficult time.
