After spending a few weeks in hospice care, North Davidson’s beloved head coach, Mike Lambros, who coached the team to two fast pitch softball championships, has passed away.
Lambros spent an impressive 38 years helming the North Davidson Lady Knights.

Lambros died at his home in Davidson County after battling stage-four pancreatic cancer for over a year.
His passing was confirmed by North Davidson Principal Angela Kiger. The news was shared on the North Davidson High School Football Facebook page, ND Black Knights Twitter account, and North Davidson softball Instagram account. source
In 2017, and despite a cancer prognosis, Coach Lambros led North Davidson to 4A Softball State Championship.
