Via KABC: Authorities have released the name of a suspected car thief who fell to his death from a loading crane at the Port of Los Angeles after leading police on a wild chase across the city.
The coroner’s office on Thursday identified the man as 23-year-old James Llamas.
Officials did not immediately know where he lived.
The fall came after the man had been on top of the crane hundreds of feet in the air, dancing, rolling around and at one point removing his clothes.
After the hours-long standoff and bizarre behavior, the man fell from the crane. He died at the scene.
