One person is dead inside a Brandywine, Maryland home after two suspects broke into a home in the 12600 block of Lusbys Lane Saturday afternoon just before 12:30 p.m., police said.
The intruders shot at the people inside the home, who shot back. It is not yet known if the incident was a robbery gone wrong or a targeted attack. “The shooting did not appear to be random,” police said.
One of the shooters was killed; the other fled on foot, police said.
One of the residents of the home suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was sent to a hospital.
