Two of three decomposing bodies discovered in a home Monday during a Caldwell, Idaho welfare check, are feared to be a Utah mother and daughter who recently moved to the area, friends of the family say. Police have not officially released the identity of the dead women.
Friends are worried that Nadja Medley, 48, and Payton Medley, 14, who moved to the Caldwell area in May, may be among the dead in what is believed to be a triple murder. The pair moved into the home along with Nadja’s boyfriend, 60-year-old Gerald Michael “Mike” Bullinger, friends of both the mother and daughter told reporters Thursday. Police are seeking Bullinger.
Investigators say each of the female victims had been shot once. All three victims are said to have been dead for two to three weeks.
Authorities say they have not yet been able to identify the bodies, but acknowledged that all three “appear to be consistent in age and physical stature” with people living at or connected to the address.
Bullinger was named a “person of interest” in a triple homicide at the home after the bodies of three female victims – ranging in age from a teenager to a woman in her mid-50’s – were found hidden on the property Monday. Bullinger remains on the loose, and the subject of a nationwide search.
