Sorry John Baker, It’s Ponch & Trooper Cummings Now

A Connecticut State trooper got a Memorial Day treat after bumping into CHiPs Star, Erik Estrada.

Estrada, 68, was traveling through Bradley Airport when he stopped for a quick snap with one of Connecticut State’s finest, Trooper Cummings.

“Sorry John, it’s Ponch & Trooper Cummings now!” Connecticut State Police captioned the photo on Facebook Monday.

Estrada is no stranger to law enforcement, he currently serves as a reserve LAPS police officer – and a well-off one at that – He is estimated to have a net worth of around $4 million dollars.

Estrada played Officer Frank Poncherello on TV series CHiPs which aired from 1977, to May 1, 1983 and after a 15 year absence it is now airing again in reruns on MeTV. Estrada’s co-star Larry Wilcox, aka, California Highway patrol officer, Jonathan “Jon” Baker, announced the CHiPs come back on his blog:

Estrada has since enjoyed a successful career as a voiceover artist, currently working on the Cartoon Network’s “SeaLab 2012”, and as a performer on various Spanish-language telenovelas.
