VIA: A northeast Missouri firefighter is dead and another injured after a rollover crash involving a fire truck.
That incident happened just before 6:15 p.m. Monday on Highway 15, three miles north of Memphis.
Dr. Jeff Davis, Scotland County coroner, told KTVO the truck was on its way to a fire when the crash happened.
The two men involved were a part of the Memphis Volunteer Fire Department.
Both were ejected from the fire truck.
One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:51 p.m. by Scotland County Sheriff Wayne Winn.
The other firefighter involved was transported to Scotland County Hospital by ambulance.
He was then flown to University Hospital in Columbia where he is listed in serious condition.
At this time, the crash is still under investigation.
Investigators are not releasing the names of the firefighters yet.
