Within the span of a week, a Las Vegas baby was attacked and killed by a dog, a Las Vegas man was attacked by a dog, and now an elderly woman is recovering after neighbors say she was attacked by a pack of dogs. The attack took place in the east part of the Las Vegas valley Sunday morning.
Metro police say that attack took place shortly before 8 am. Animal control was dispatched to the 5100 block of Silverheart near Nellis and Charleston when four dogs were seen running loose. Witnesses at the scene said an elderly woman was attacked but luckily walked away with minor injuries.
While on the scene a reporter observed animal control seizing dogs from the pack and was told by witnesses they believe german shepherds were among the pack.
