Jonathan Darden, owner and designer for Balloonatic Fashion, has been found dead inside a vehicle near shoulder of Interstate 20 in West Monroe, Louisiana, Saturday afternoon.
Darden, 33, was located by the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office around 3:30 p.m. Deputies recovered his body inside a car. Darden had been reported missing on May 7 by the Shreveport Police Department.
Deputies say there is no indication of foul play at this time but stopped short of saying the death was as a result of a suicide.
An investigation is underway and autopsy results are pending.
Darden was a four-year Army veteran who suffered from post-traumatic-stress disorder. He made headlines in March, 2016, after fireworks set off by a neighborhood fundraising event triggered a PTSD attack.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates as details emerge.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time.
