San Diego authorities are saying a person was the victim of a shark attack that took place near San Onofre State Beach Saturday.
The victim sustained injuries after being bitten and was airlifted from the beach to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, San Diego, according to a spokesperson from Camp Pendleton.
The name of the victim and the extent of the injuries has not yet been released.
